i know they're 0-2 and not going anywhere this year, but it was nice to see elton brand get 20 last night, and they only lost by 3 to the hawks...turner was 0-5 but he had 4 assists, and he was 7-10 in their first game against the heat.

i hope at least this team can be watchable this season.

how does evan turner look thus far? i know some people think he's going to be a solid, if not spectacular, nba player for awhile. some think he's going to be the biggest bust in the draft (relative to where he was picked juxtaposed with expectations) and a very small minority think he's gonna be a star... i'm not in charge of sixers basketball this year so i'm in the dark here.

Which team gets more ass, the Philly Sixers or the SF Niners?

Sixers were just up 3 vs. Wizards with 8 seconds left. Wiz fouled Evan Turner

Missed both free throws, just needed one

Then they foul John Wall attempting a halfcourt heave, giving him 3 free throws which he makes all of, sending the game to OT

what a terrible way to blow a game, should they go on to lose it (which they deserve to now)

If I was the Philly coach in that situation, I would tell my team to sit on their hands. WTF?

well it was actually quite interesting- they were up by 3 and were attempting to foul to prevent the Wiz from attempting a 3....but as (i think it was Turner) ran up to Wall around halfcourt to foul him, he took the shot...I actually think it was pretty damn smart of Wall

the kind of frustrating thing is that the sixers have been able to score points this year but their defense is horrendous. they're probably no better than a 20 win team.

so yeah...they won't be watchable after all.

let's go flyers!

It took me 2 overtimes to beat them last night in NBA 2K11. Doug Collins has these guys coached up pretty well.

The turnovers have gone down for me. There are still times where my guy will pass it completely to an illogical player which causes a turnover, but I've gotten better. It does seem like teams are playing better defense against me as my season progresses. When I first started, I was slicing up defenses with Rose and driving to the basket all the time. Now the computer seems to shut me down very often. It can be a tough game, but it's definitely a fun game.

i think part of it was i was used to the up-tempo speed of 2k10 which took some time to get used to as well but i think they slowed the gameplay down in this one...and i've been impatient with it. still, some of the TO's are ridiculous.

well, they got to 20! 3 game winning streak. this is a classic example of the 7th or 8th seed playoff team in the East...just get into the playoffs to generate some "buzz" and then get destroyed by the superior team.

i will say though...collins is coaching this team well. they just don't have a lot of talent.

They have been playing pretty good ball lately. They might even be able to make a run at the 6th spot in the east. New York seems to be faltering.

that's what i've been looking at. i mean, either way, the sixers are just a one and done in the playoffs because there's no way they could beat the bulls, the celtics, or the heat. but i kinda want to see them up against the heat, just to see if they could make it an interesting series and make 'em sweat a little bit, the way the bulls did to the celtics a while back.

I love watching the Sixers play. They often out-hustle and out smart superior opponents.

3 in a row but 2 rough games against the thunder and celtics coming up. at least it looks like the worst they can do is 7th. knicks are only half a game up but they're SO AWESOME!!!1 now.

i do too

i think they're underrated. not going to win a title but they're the proverbial 'team you don't want to face'
