Bird and Stockton are far and away the two best for me.

I don't trust how those other old timers would stack up when they were on, and playing against, teams where 4 out of 5 guys were white.

Stockton and J.West are interchangeable in my mind.

Maravich would have held up in the 80's/early 90's. The only limit to his offensive talent was his drinking.

i agree man..hard to compare old whites to todays more athletic and much bigger players. i won't even put wilt in the top 5 centers all time due to his competition.

I agree 100%. I don't think Wilt would've been able to compete in a league with the likes of Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, or Shaquille.

It's the Basketbal HOF. Not the NBA HOF... there's pretty much no denying that Sabonis was probably the most dominant European big of his era. By the time he got to Portland his knees were gone and he was still effective for a few years.

IMO Wilt could have been as good or better than Ralph Sampson up through the early 90's.... Idk if he could have checked Shaq or the Dream in their primes, but I wouldn't doubt the guy. I doubt any of those three could stop the other guys on offense anyway.

No. I know he hit a bunch of crucial shots, but I can't put a guy who only averaged 7ppg over his career into the HOF.

Besides, it's debatable how many rings he gets if it weren't for the crooked refs in 2002 and 2007.
