I doubt it.

No. I think LA will win one in Dallas. It still may go 6 games.

I doubt it.

The Pistons swept the Bulls in Jackson's first season I believe.

It could very well be, Douchebag, especially with Ron Artest's stupid, senseless flagrant foul in the waning seconds of Game 2 and the game all but decided. The flagrant foul came within a few feet of Jack Nicholson, for crying out loud! What the hell was Artest thinking?! :x

Could be the Mavericks' last chance to win an NBA Championship with this core, OKC.

Hard to believe they don't have several already, with Nowitzki being better than Bird and all.

I think Bird had a much better team around him and his team never struggled to my knowledge in the early rounds like the Mavs have. They probably should have won that 2006 championship, but they fell apart in the 3rd game.

I'm getting the feeling that it could be a rematch of Mavs/Heat unless the Bulls can somehow beat the Heat or the Celtics can come back in the series.

i think bird and dirk are equal...bird had a few hall of famers with him, dirk has 1..and kidd is at the tail end of his career and not even a top 5 point guard anymore

Dallas is just so much more crisp than L.A. THIS is how I've wanted to see Dallas look in the playoffs for roughly the last 5-6 years.

I feel bad for Kobe. He's not gonna get that 6th ring. He really wants to help this team but he just doesn't have anything left.

Either way, the Western Conference Finals with Dallas vs. either OKC or Memphis, is gonna be a lot of damn fun.

Only 3 teams in NBA history have come back and won a series after losing their first 2 games at home.

Imagine if we had Caron Butler in there too.

I hope Dallas gets this series over with in at least 5. I could see OKC/Memphis going 7 easily.

What's this "we" shit??

So are you more of a Bulls fan or a Mavs fan??

Bulls without a doubt. Mavs are my Western team. If ever there were a Bulls/Mavs finals, I'd be 100% for the Bulls.

Yeah the success without Butler is kind of amazing actually. I'm worried his return next season will affect the on court identity Dallas has developed the last 3 or 4 months.

Mem/OKC depends on whether or not Zach Randolph can get to his spots on the floor like he did in game 1. If not, that series will be over in 5. Memphis may have slightly better depth than the Thunder, but I don't think that makes them as good overall as the top 5 players on OKC (Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, Harden, Perkins).

Ok, yeah I guess it would be similar to having an American and National League rooting interest in baseball.

I guess i'll let you live.....for now

Jeff Van Gundy is currently on his rag. Idk if he has some crazy vendetta against Mark Cuban, but he can't say anything positive about Dallas.

Bye bye LA.

Top 2 seeds in the West won't make the Conference Finals.

His affection for Pau Gasol was kind of alarming for an NBA broadcast.

I appreciate the Lakers for what they have done in terms of sports history. I also appreciate the legacy of Phil Jackson. But it is time to end the legacy.

What a way for Phil Jackson to end his career.
