Hakeem, D Robinson, and Ewing all make it.

Obviously Hakeem

Hakeem is top 5 IMO

If you're going to leave one of those off, it should be Ewing.

Hakeem is a definite lock.
Robinson should be there too.

I would say no to the Admiral and Ewing.

Shaq is definitely in there. I don't see how Scottie can make the Top 50. He was extremely borderline ten years ago.

Ewing was better than Robinson.

Neither in my book.

J does need to be there

Iverson should be on any real list IMO but I don't expect enough here to agree. I don't think Cousy should make it over him

Well, you're going to have to push someone out of that anniversary Top 50 if you're adding guys like Wade, KG, and LeBron. Obviously, Pippen has to be one of the first guys to consider bumping, Bulls fan biases aside.

I can agree that he might slide off the list now, but I had to give a  when you made the dig about him not belonging on the original list. Just looked like you wanted to re-hash a 10 page thread all over again.

He is universally regarded as one of the best defenders ever, almost invented the point forward concept, and regardless of some minor petty issues he was an awesome team player

Pippin is closer to top 20 all time than not making the list imo

I'm not taking Scottie off the list before some of the people from the 50s and 60s who made that list. The NBA was not good back then. That's how Wilt Chamberlain could average like 50 points and 25 rebounds for a season.

One more thing. When lebrons career is done I expect him to be top 10 but nobody can realistically put him over pippen on the list now

If longevity wasn't an issue bill Walton would be an easy lock

What about Kemp and Gary Payton?

I really don't think he belonged on the original list. Defense is played by teams. I'm not taking away what Scottie did on defense, but if I'm on a court picking teams, could I really take Pippen ahead of a guy who could score at will like Bernard King or Aguirre? That's my problem with Rodman making the Hall of Fame. I just can't see that he was more important than a guy who could fill it up like Alex English, for example.

By the way, I'm not advocating for any of those guys in the all-time Top 50.

No, Wilt averaged that because he was great. Who are the 50s and 60s guys on the original list you think were no good?

Wilt averaged that because he was just taller and bigger than almost everyone else. It would be like putting Shaq in his prime against college players.

Wilt was a great player, but no one should be able to average 50 and 25.

No kemp. Not to keep bashing Cousy but I'm not sure how he gets in above the glove or kidd

Jordan did what he did because he was just quicker and more coordinated than almost everyone else.

If he wins a ring or two and maintains his current scoring output, Kevin Durant will eventually make the list. Not now, but eventually.

I definitely think dolph can go

Elgin Baylor shouldn't be on that possible replacement list. He needs to be a lock

All the guys I listed should be locks including Schayes. He averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds for his career.

Do you think that Wilt Chamberlain is quicker or more coordinated than Dwight Howard or Shaq? I don't see Howard or Shaq ever going for 50 and 25 for a season.

You have to admit that the average NBA player back then was significantly worse and it made it easier for above average players to look like superstars.
