Looks like Orlando is trading Tobias Harris to Detroit for Brandon Jennings and Ilyasova. Makes sense for both teams but I think Harris has a good chance to rebound and play a lot better in Detroit.

How many days until Skiles murders Brandon Jennings?

Skiles is the O.G. guard whisperer.

Didn't Jennings previously enjoy success under Skiles? Were there issues?

You'd have to have a pretty broad definition of success. They made the playoffs once, Skiles was fired, and Jennings got traded.

You can try all day to make sense of the Herb Kohl Bucks and go nowhere.

Hopefully this is bullshit. As much as I'd like to get rid of Mirotic and McDermott, I want no part of Rudy Gay.

I'm not really sure why the Kings would be interested in acquiring Jimmer Fredette again.

“The Bulls may also want quality rotation guys instead of future assets; they’ve pitched Toronto on a Taj Gibson-Patrick Patterson swap that would give them a stretch power forward with another season left on a tidy contract — and trim their tax bill.” – Zach Lowe of ESPN

This would be great. I don't know why Toronto would want to do it.

Trimming the tax bill - yes! Do it!

Which is to say I guess you know you're in NBA hell for certain when your team looks to make trades that seem smart at first but are really designed to preserve the status quo at a more affordable cost.

Markieff Morris to the Wizards.

I have a feeling the Bulls aren't making the playoffs this year. What a boring ass deadline.

LTG's guy Lance Stephenson traded to Memphis for Jeff Green

Author:  long time guy [ Thu Feb 18, 2016 3:25 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: NBA Trade Deadline

That is a helluva move by Doc Rivers. Jeff Green is a talent though he is inconsistent. They may be able to get something out of him. He is a starting caliber 3-4 hybrid guy. Lance Stephenson may be on his way out of the league. He is on his 4th team in less than 2 yrs. That is not a good look.

This is the biggest criticism that I have of Paxson. If reports are true it appears that he is demanding a first round pick for Taj. Gibson plus a rotation player. GMS are laughing him off the phone at that request. In essence he is making Taj. "untradeable" by virtue of an asking price that is too high.

He has always overvalued his own players. He appears to be doing this yet again. That is why he is never involved in any trades of consequence.

If what LTG posted is true it sounds like GarPax doesn’t understand how trades work.

Lance has been looking great since he put on a Grizzlies uniform a few weeks back. Just like I told you, the jury is still out on Lance.

That would amount to the longest jury deliberation in history. Did you give McDermott equal time? Lance is already on his third team in less than 2 yrs. A better Lance Stephenson is only slightly better than a better Etwaun Moore. As far as bottom shelf goes his bar is set at about the same level as a bottle of MD 20/20

He led his team to a victory over the Cavs last night on the road. The Grizz were without Gasol, Randolph, Conley, and Matt Barnes. Somehow this team manages to win games with significant injuries and they are currently fifth in a very tough conference.

Don't tell my you are fighting the Lance fight now? I attempted to find takers for this battle for the better part of two years. Couldn't find any. He has been better but its a "small sample size" and also relative to his play over the past 2 years. Two teams have already given up on him since the time decided to wage war.

As far as the Grizzlies and their injuries go, i'd have to see the number of games missed among their key guys. Matt Barnes is not a key guy and Zebo is slowing down. Gasol and Conley yes the rest of those guys no.

They moved Zebo to the bench earlier this season.

Their top 7 guys have missed a combined 63 games for the season. The Bulls top 7 guys have missed about 126 combined gamee this season. That's hardly comparable.

He's started 42 of 57 games.
