I mean obviously you're still thinking about your team winning the series overall but as an Astros fan I'd be pissed this overshadowed the biggest Win in franchise history.

I was sort of rooting for the Astros just because it would help the city who have suffered because of the hurricane.

But now I’m rooting for the Dodgers.

I understand Cuba is not a bastion for cultural diversity but still you got to know better.

I’ll root for civilization over stupidity in this one.

Gurriel played in japan for a year. He also made final outs in the 2006 WBC and 2008 Olympics for Cuba against Asian teams;

Quote:
Gurriel played second base for the Cuban national baseball team in the 2006 World Baseball Classic,[1] making the final out for Cuba in their championship game loss to Japan. He batted .273 in the tournament, with a .342 on-base percentage and a .515 slugging percentage. Later in the finals of the 2008 Beijing Olympics Tournament, he again made the final out by grounding out into a double play against South Korea. [9]

Gurriel played for Cuba again in the 2009 World Baseball Classic, as their third baseman. He batted for .333 in the tournament with two home runs and 6 RBIs.

On May 11, 2014, Gurriel signed a one-year contract with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars.[10] He joined the team at midseason, and batted .305 with 11 home runs and 30 RBIs in 62 games.[11]

Yea, a WAS suspension would be meaningless because of the appeals process.

But shouldn't you at least make that the punishment and make them appeal?

Yea maybe but I'm sure you can't rush the appeal process so it wouldn't be in WS either way.

The 5 game suspension is a loss of 375k for what it's worth.

He should have to be Darvish's Butler.

That's how all great feuds ended.

Gurriel's 33? Astros home-field advantage almost seems unfair in baseball.

One of these games Charlie Morton has to remember that he’s Charlie Morton.

Yes Smoltzy he repeats his mechanics but they’re bad mechanics. Being able to repeat isn’t a cure-all.

Obvious from the start that Wood-Morton would be the pitchers duel.

Just openly talking about a no-hitter.

My Dad was a farmer and I know better than that.

Astros getting no-hit at home by the Dodgers 4th starter. Only 2 K's through 5 too. Girardi, i think it was, said that with the roof closed and a full-house Minute Maid became a pitcher's park.

Len Kasper laughs at that superstition. He openly discussed it during both of Arrieta's. I do not recall if he did for Zambrano.

I don't think Alex Wood is your traditional 4th starter. He was their #2 behind Kershaw till they traded for Yu. What is miraculous is what Morton is pulling off out there.

Dodgers got this tonight. That whole racism thing really fucked up the Astros when it comes to good vibes and the baseball gods. Dodgers will win the WS in 6.

Anytime Fox wants to actually show the ballgame, I’d be cool with it.

If I want to see ugly people in vintage Astros t-shirts, I’ll go to a suburban mall.

Yeah, not sure why Smoltz was sucking off the 3rd baseman because of his "throw". That's a play a travel ball 3rd baseman easily makes.
