Almora scored the winnin' run in the bottom of the 9th. Almora went 0-1 with 3 walks in the game. A very odd line. Almora is havin' a decent year. Nobody talks about him as one of the 2016 ex-Cubs, but he's playin' pretty much everyday.

On the same day, Votto finally gave up and will have surgery for his rotator cuff. Out for the season.

Yankees desperately needed this one to avoid a sweep. Chapman gave up a 3-run double in the top of the 10th. A dribbler down the right field line. The look on his face was priceless.

They also lost tonight at home to Toronto. This team is going thru their annual swoon of not hitting.

The Angels have 100 million to spend next off-season and the Trash Pandas are one of the top teams in the minors. The last 3 drafts have been good IMO. Also I'd be careful with prospect rankings... Adell was the top prospect in baseball and he has coordination issues and can't track a baseball...

Listened to CBS sports radio a guest said each last 15 years the top ranked MLB farm system team made it to the playoffs in a couple of years.

My guess is that list is dominated by the Dodgers, Cardinals, and maybe the Rays.

52 innin's, 56 appearances, and he has 14 fuckin' decisions. That's gotta be on pace for a record. I remember Lee Smith once went 9-9 but in those days he would pitch like 100 innin's.

The teams being in control of their TV rights hurts them in certain ways, and they just really don't have a national presence on TV. Ratings are up but when you show the Red Sox and Yankees every game in makes it hard to broaden your horizons.
