Remember the guy in high school who was short and jacked but uncoordinated? The guy who kinda looked the part in basketball but dribbled as high as his nipples, was only allowed to play in blowouts, and got a standing ovation when he launched an ugly three-pointer that somehow managed to go in only due to the grace of God?

That's Brett Gardner.

No

This game is very similar to last night's Cub game.

I'm not which has been more of a theme of the post season: mound visits or cheap home runs. They're both equally annoying.

Kate Upton should have a trampoline in her Suite.

Vintage Verlander, saving his fastest pitches for the later innings. Going away from the off-speed pitches and throwing it by hitters 3rd/4th time through the lineup. Great game by JV, but it'll be for (mostly) nought if the Astros don't pull out the win.

Verlander throwing a hell of a game, eight innings and one run with a dozen k. I'd go to the pen though, dont get greedy.

Yankees GM Cashman looking like a New Yorker out for morning coffee on the weekend in his athletic grey hoodie and untucked shirt.

Yeah, even in his prime, JV's ERA spiked precipitously after 110 pitches. This is not good.

Reddick/Gigante/Correa due up for Houston vs Chapman bottom of 9th.

Don't think Verlander's going to Jack Morris in the 91? World Series it and come back out for the 10th, if the Astros can't walk it off.

Even in his 9th inning Yankees hitters wanted no part of him. That is a stallion.

Altuve has some serious top hand. Turns around 100 like it was nothing.

Why isn't Altuve on 2nd base already.

runners interference on the throw is the argument.

still just ease the ball into the catchers mitt there and he's out easily at home.

Post subject:  Re: MLB Postseason 2017

i guess i can see that on the reply. catcher just had to pick it up and tag the guy out.

Gregorius needed to be in better position to throw the ball to the plate. At that point you have to sacrifice the guy going into second.

Big Frank is blaming it on Judge. Says he overthrew the cut off man.

I could see that too.

That was on Judge. He didn't think Altuve was going home and made a sluggish throw.

Houston is loaded but the bullpen seems vulnerable. May not matter though with all that offense.
