Great signing. My top 3 was Cole, Rendon, Strasburg. 3B has been a problem since Glaus left. Angels aren't done...they have pieces and will probably make a trade for a pitcher and sign another free-agent.

They better. They lost 90 games last year and Oakland and Houston aren't going away.

Does Rendon leaving the Nats open up them as a trading partner for Bryant?

The Angels are finally recovering from the Dipoto era. Eppler signed Ohtani, extended Trout, and rebuilt the farm. Pujols is finally coming off the books in 2 years. I hope Moreno learned his lesson and won't be interfering again. Adell and Marsh should be up soon. Eppler says he has a few different ideas to bring in starting pitching. He's done enough where I'm pretty confident he's smart enough to figure something out.

I do wish they could figure out a way to get Pujols the hell out of there. Watching him duck walk around the bases and roll over on pitches over the outer half the last few years is about more than I can take. His numbers don't reflect how awful he's been.

I hope they don't deal Fletcher for pitching. I can see La Stella getting time at first. Pujols is shot.

There is a very easy way to do just that; cut him.

Moreno won't do that. The Pujols deal was his baby and he's an honorable guy. Pujols has a 10 million dollar personal service deal with the Angels after he retires. The only way out would be to get him to retire and pay him off. I don't see that happening. I think he wants to hit as many home runs as he can before he's done even at the expense of his average.

They were dead last when Eppler took over and were ranked by Baseball America at #14 this season.

Giving pitchers long contracts is a huge gamble but I get Toronto doing it. Gotta try and stay relevant in the East.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired first baseman-designated hitter Jose Martinez from St. Louis in a trade that sends left-hander Matthew Liberatore, one of the club’s top minor league pitching prospects, to the Cardinals.

In addition to addressing the need for a right-handed bat, the Rays receive outfielder Randy Arozarena and a Compensation Round A draft pick in a four-player deal announced Thursday night. The Cardinals also get minor league catcher Edgardo Rodriguez and a Compensation Round B draft pick.

I give them credit. A small market team trying to stay on top. I know of at least 1 large market team who has seemingly given up.

Short term. After 2 years he'll be problematic for the Twins. Maybe after 1 if we're lucky.

2020 is the year we get our ducks in a row. 2021 is the year we march.

I can't remember a team that's done less in an offseason than the Cubs. Maybe they're waiting for the convention to announce Castellanos.

Angels have shit for pitching and nobody in their system to trade for it.
