I've only stayed in St. Louis for a weekend one time, transitioning from Missouri to down here, but I liked most of the people there. That really says nothing about Cardinal fans. No way they can be as bad as Cubs fans though, right?

I have been quite enjoying the MLB postseason this year. Big-ups to the Dodgers and the Angels for finishing off two teams I really don't like. I can't wait for that Angels/Yankees series and I'm hoping Philly will finish off the Rockies today.

I like how Coztanza and to a lesser extent Keyser defend the Cards. Thats true cub hate. Kinda weird A-Rod not sucking in playoffs.

No its not. Im a cub fan that grew up on the southside. Many Sox fans I know like the Cardinals and admit is an anti cub thing. Like the end if the south side irish song...two favorite clubs, the go go white sox and whoever plays the cubs

I'm a Die Sox White Fan and I don't care about any team in the NL Central.

I like the Phillies because they're just a great team. Ditto for the Angels. I kinda like the Dodgers now because they have Thome and it's hard not to root for Thome. I like the Giants because I'm a Lincecum mark.

For me, the Cubs hatred just never made sense. I don't root for the Cubs but I don't know how to hate them. To form hatred, you have to care first. I've never cared enough about the Cubs to actively hate them. They just...exist. That's all.

It's funny. Growing up in the 70's (as a Sox fan) and reading Royko, I always thought that the Mets were the ultimate enemy of Cubbie fans. I figured it was a 1969, then battle for the bottom of the NL East thing. I don't know that I ever really read Royko (or others) write/talk about the Cards. Continuing shame over Brock for Broglio was one thing perhaps, but it just didn't seem to be an issue in the days of yore.

In any event, I've rooted for the Cardinals for years. Their old teams played my favorite kind of baseball (pitching & speed). The Cub fan hatred that has grown over the past 20-25 yrs. has just been the cherry on top of the baseball sundae.
