Thats a dig at the Cubs, not defending the Cardinals at all.

So yes, shit.

I guess so.
Its just someone made fun of the Cards...and BOOM you were there. That is kinda defending them. Even if its rooted in your Cub hate

Whatever I dont even have a problem with Cub hate...its a fact of life...it exists.

Well, I don't consider it defending them. In fact, they sucked in the NLDS and deserved to be sent home early.

The fuck??

Maybe more Frank than you, but you liked em all year. Theres nothing wrong with it, lots of Sox fans 2nd team is STL.

IF I had a 2nd team it sure as fuck wouldn't be the Cardinals.

Moving forward, why do I have this feeling that the Los Angeles Dodgers & Anaheim Angels will be meeting in an all-Southern California World Series? I know FOX, whose corporate offices & studios are located there, would love to see those 2 in the "Fall Classic", even though the Bums & New York Yankees would be the sexier, for lack of a better word, matchup. It's not just that the Dodgers & Yankees have played some classic World Series matchups in the past, but there's the whole Joe Torre angle for quite a storyline if it comes to fruition.

Your Phillies are off to a pretty good start, W_Z.

Wow, you really are all over the map with your allegiances. Are the Lakers your favorite basketball team and the Oilers your favorite hockey team?

Why'd Torre stick with Kershaw that long in the 5th? If getting to pinch hit for the pitcher is that big of a deal, bring in a short-relief, shut-down guy that you don't mind using for only 1 inning of work and then PH for that guy and put your middle reliever in in the 6th.

Kershaw had lost his control before Ruiz' HR and then Torre lets the Phillies reload the bases against Kershaw and THEN lets Kershaw face Ryan Howard.

Expensive throwing error by Utley--turning 2 would've ended the inning. Instead Manny hits 2 run HR and it's a game again.

The Oilers and Lakers have won far too much to be his teams.

Torre falls asleep again. Sends Jim Thome up to PH, knowing that it's likely the Phillies are going to walk Thome and knowing that he's gonna want a pinch runner for Thome, when Thome is walked, Torre suddenly scrambles to find a pinch runner and ends up calling time-out (can they do that? I mean for that long and for all that activity) and sending Randy Wolf up the tunnel to the clubhouse to trade his sneakers for cleats.

There are no timeouts in MLB, even in the playoffs!

Pedro is looking great after 4 innings. I'm very happy he decided to make a comeback because I love watching him pitch.

+1 However, the National League is where AL players go for retirement. Tell me that Manny Pedro at bat didnt feel like an old timers game.

Yanks can't cash in on the horrible call by the 2nd base ump. Vlad has been brutal. If he could get 1 hit with men on, this game would be over. I think he is 0 for 3 with men in scoring position, and twice with the bases loaded.

Bad call on that double play! I get the fact he technically didn't touch 2nd base, but if your calling that all night why change now?
