You may want to amend it to "Cubs fans." I can appreciate the Cubs (the current team, at least). Cubs fans are pathetic.

Actually, it's just the fratboys (current and aging) I can't stand. But many Cubs fans are knowledgeable fans. I used to wait for season tickets with them (my brother, who is probably gay, is a Cubs fan) outside Cub Park in the early spring back in the 80s. They were all working-class people, good people, baseball nuts. Knew the game. I think they're priced out of seats (as well as the neighborhood) now, but....some really good fans.
