They'll probably win the rest of them.

No. The pitching won't maintain this level for that long.

Believe it is the new wager in vegas, with high odds on both ends.

Maddon is doing a pretty good job of getting guys rest and when rosters expand in September, I expect he will make sure he gets everyone's battery recharged with some extra rest. Will they win 117?.....I really doubt it. There is going to be a losing streak at some point, but luckily, with guys like Arrieta, they are not likely to be real long. The Cubs are the only team not to have lost back to back games so far. That's pretty amazing. Jorr scoffed this past off-season when I said the Cubs would win over 100 games this season, after they won 97 last year. Now that prediction looks pretty likely to be true. But 117-45.....I doubt it. I remember the Mariners under Lou with the great regular season. It didn't translate. Get the title.

Honestly, I don't care how many games they win in the regular season! Just as long as they make it to the World Series and have themselves in a position to do it! Don't want them putting more effort in regular season wins instead of the ultimate prize......just my thoughts....

This. I can't see Hammel not falling off the rails at some point.
