Making his mlb debut today for the Dodgers, he's 19.. I've never seen a 19 year old pitch in the majors. This kid must be great.

Really? Dwight Gooden. David Clyde. Terry Forster. Bart Johnson. And I realize you didn't see him, but Bob Feller went 5-3 and struck out about 80 guys and then went back to Iowa for his senior year of high school.

his strikeout totals were hilarious his first couple years, just mind-boggling for a 19/20 year old.

Joe Nuxhall made his MLB debut as apitcher with the Reds in 1944 at age 15. I believe he is the youngest player to ever appear in a MLB game.

Nuxhall had no business being in the majors. pitched 2/3 of an inning getting shelled. probably more surprisingly he spent the next 7 years in the minors before fashioning a decent MLB career.

Fangraphs had a pretty good write up on him. He's the first teenage pitcher to get the call since MadBum.

Hell, Pete Gray played during the war, and he only had one arm and one liver.

Are most big leaguers sporting an extra liver?

I'd like to get in the extra liver program.
