We make do with the scraps the Cubs leave behind.

Good numbers, lost the game.

The National League lost. Not the Cubs.
The Cubs infield lost. Or at least did not do enough to win.

At least Lester took the ball and didn't pull a bitch move like your boy Arietta.

The defending NL Cy Young award winner who was too afraid and selfish to pitch in the all star game.

You're really not this dumb, are you? You're doing a bit; has to be.

How was he anything but selfish with his choice?

As i said in another thread a couple days ago I have no issue with him or anyone else sitting out. I do have an issue with him wasting a roster spot for his first (and perhaps only) AS game.

If this was a Sox pitcher who did this, the uproar on here would be tremendous.

Settle down Dave.

We've got a whole lot of Cub baseball left in 2016. Keep this up and you're going to burn yourself out by August.

Nobody cares about the All Star game. Choose a new dumb argument.

The ASG is meaningless. Jake ARRIETA (if you want to pass yourself off as a baseball fan, you should know how to spell last year's Cy Young winner's name) made an unselfish decision...passing on the glory and accolades of pitching in a meaningless ASG so he can save himself for when it matters.

Last year, he was called selfish for wanting to stay in and pitch in the 8th and 9th innings of regular season stompings...and then those extra innings were blamed when he slipped in the playoffs.

You don't get to have both arguments.

Firstly, all choices are selfish, but that's a nuanced conversation I wouldn't have with you on this board for love or money ... perhaps live and in person, but it's not terribly great Lakemoor conversation.

Secondly, maybe he felt fine 4 days ago or had hope he'd feel better ... who knows ... hell, KI says he's gonna be somewhere but 7 times out of 10 he doesn't make it ... that doesn't make him selfish, just Samoan.

Thirdly, the crown of thorns you enjoy wearing in proxy for Sox Nation is rather unbecoming, though fortunately for your sake most of the 'slings and arrows' you think you endure aren't real.

Haha, no one cares about the Cubs. All time low ratings.

Some images from the game:

Two big wigs from a Padres sponsor sat in front of us with what appeared to be escorts. This dude is about 80 and the chick was about 35 and smokin' hot. He bled on her. My buddy asked why he was bleeding and how he cut himself. I said, "Old guys just bleed sometimes. See what you have to look forward to?" (I may not leave this up here long as I am dedicated follower of the "Dude Code" and I wouldn't want this guy's wife to stumble on this site, as unlikely as that may be.)

This is not from the game but these two crazy European broads were sunbathing t0pless and chain-smoking cigarettes on a beach right next to where there was a kid's summer camp. A cute little lifeguard came over and told them to put their tops on. They did. for about 30 seconds until she walked away.
