Griffey is not in the Aaron, Mays, Ruth tier. He was phenomenal with the Mariners but his career and body fell apart once he went to Cincinnati. Trout is also playing at a higher level than Griffey Jr ever played at and he has had a better start to his career than Jr. Pointing out the obvious is not idiotic.

This is stupid. They're both very similar through age 25 and Griffey was a beast for nearly 5 straight more seasons before injuries started taking their toll.

Trout is having one of the great starts to a career. A long way to go.

I guess you could say Griffey and Mantle had similar careers. Both still stand as immortals...even with injury reduced output for a significant portion of their careers.
