Baseball at its finest! Vin Scully on the call. One of the greatest moments in baseball history. Love how Scully lets the crowd noise and the players tell the story for awhile during the moment.

Scully was the best, no one can ever be better.

It's worth remembering that Vin was calling that game for NBC, not the Dodgers (I'm guessing Drysdale called it locally). Maybe 1988 technology doesn't immediately reflect it but there's such a big difference in the way NBC treated baseball and the way Fox treats it now. For NBC, it was always the crown jewel of their sports department. For Fox (and ESPN, for that matter), it's just another property. Even the goddamn League Championship Series has been relegated to Speedvision with a new name.
