I don't know what LaStella's contract situation is, but he's pretty damn good and he's only 28. Edit: can't do a poll in the Cubs section. |

Russell seems like a stroke and a half and he will only get worse with time in that department. I would look to move him for a starting pitcher that doesn't suck like Quintana. Archer for Russell...lets dance tampa. |

If I'm not mistaken, La Stella has the highest second half OBP on the Cub. That's what Bernstein said, anyway. He really should be starting somewhere. |

I want Russell to come back and show that he is healthy. Then part of me thinks he is the best trade piece for a quality cost-controlled starter. Baez at SS, some combination of Happ and LaStella at 2B. But, that means you really don't have a backup SS, do you have to find a bench guy. I'm not really fond of that at all in today's 4 man bench game. So I grudgingly go Russell at SS, Baez at 2B. |

I'm surprised at La Stella's career stats (how low they are). It seems like whenever he gets a chance, he tears the cover off the ball. His numbers this year are terrific, with just over 100 PA's. |

LaStella is the perfect bench guy to have. He is not an every day player Baez and Russell is the only answer here. Either at 2B and SS. |
