Just a discussion in my office. If you had to put $1000 of your own money right now on one player who would it be?

Lots of love Jose Ramirez. I'd probably go with Kershaw or Cluber Lang.

Wade Davis, who will not only get a save in all four Cubs victories, but because of the Cubs' confidence in themselves and Wade, they'll allow Wade to record a save for the Indians' lone victory, thus setting the record for recording five World Series saves.

Losing a World Series game?

Is that a thing?

I heard of a team losing 5 World Series games on purpose.

It's best to take avoid the chalk on bets like this. The last two World Series MVPs were Ben Zobrist and Salvador Perez.

Francisco Lindor

So you take the best player on the best team!

He said Lindor, not Jose Ramirez.

Stop mixing up your latinos.

You can make an argument for Ramirez, Kluber, or Carrasco. A case can also be made that Miller is their most valuable, if you want to split hairs on the meanings of those two words. If the Indians make the WS, I doubt Lindor will have the shortest odds of any Indian.

If you are trying to win the bet, then you pick a team that you think can win the WS. Duh.

CHUSE is correct though. MANY times, the WS MVP isn't necessarily a bum, but he is role player. Bumgarner was probably the last 'superstar' to win it. Zobrist and Dye (shoulda been Crede) were Chicago's two and while those guys are pretty good ballplayers, they weren't exactly household names.

Shoulda been Bryant, too.

It's not random all the time though. Before Dye the previous 6 were superstars.

You get more role player types in the LCS MVPS like Marco Scutaro and Cody Ross.

Im liking Domingo Santana
