He sure is. I like him. He has feel to hit. Think Michael Conforto.

Potential 1-1 RHP Ethan Hankins left his start early on Saturday with shoulder soreness. It’s being reported that there is no tear in the shoulder and it’s just a muscle issue. He should be good to go in a couple weeks. Hankins left the start after 15 pitches as his velocity was way down.

Oregon St 2B Nick Madrigal fractured his hand sliding into home and will miss 4-6 weeks.

Kentucky 1B TJ Collet has already hit 5 home runs. Collet has as much raw as anyone in the draft and it's good to see him finally tapping into it.

HS RHP Cole Winn was 90-95 t96 in his first start. Winn is a high SPIN RATE! guy.

For the season he's pitched 63 innings and has 86 K's to only 4 BB. That's....that's pretty damn impressive.

He should be but there are a couple stat driven teams who pick late that may take him. I hope they do.

He’s really starting to hit. He started out slow and there were reports that he looked bored and uninterested which is easy to say when a guys not hitting. If he falls out of the top 10 someone is going to get a steal.

HS OF Jordyn Adams is roaring up draft boards. Coming into the season Adams was considered unsignable because of a strong commitment to play WR at North Carolina but he has been absolutely tearing the cover off the ball this spring and could be drafted high enough to bypass his college commitment. The 6'2" 180 Adams has 5 tool potential.

KLaw went to Kenosha to see Kelenic today. I thought it would get rained out but it sounds like they got it in. I’m anxiously waiting on the report. The Sox draft pick hangs in the balance!

Well obviously you want Mize but he’s not going to be there. I’d be more than happy with Singer. I’m out on McClanahan and Madrigal.

Post subject:  Re: 2018 MLB Draft

KLaw did his first mock draft today and he has the Sox taking C Joey Bart from Georgia Tech. Bart is racing up draft boards but that pick would be a surprise. If they're going college bat and Bohm is gone (though I've heard there's make up issues there) I like India or Swaggerty better.

He has the Cubs taking HS RHP Grayson Rodriguez. He's a big ole hoss with a power arm and a decent chance to remain a starter.

Casey Mize continues to prove he’s the best player in this draft by absolutely dominating Vandy tonight. 9 IP 4 H 1 ER 0 BB 15 K
