86 was great.

Watching 1993 right now; first of many Dusty choke jobs.

Is this series available to buy or stream anywhere?

Not sure how any postseason can ever be better than 1986.

On occasion I get drunk while watching games from the 86 playoffs.

Not highlights, just watch a game from start to finish like it is a live game.

While drinking.

91 WS and NLCS just great, but ALCS was blah.

In 86, the WS was by far the least exciting of the three playoff series.

The Houston series was great in '86, and it didn't even go seven games (I may be wrong about that). The Mets are such pond scum, though.

I don't remember the '91 ALCS, come to think of it. I remember the NLCS--man, the 1-0 games. That was time well-spent. World Series was fantastic.

You remember correct about the 86 NLCS, 6 games.

I didn’t remember the 91 ALCS either. I guess the Blue Jays lost to Minn. That is somewhat telling why 86 was a bit better.

The thing is in 86, game fucking five of the ALCS was probably the best game of all of the 86 playoffs.

I don't have the MLB Network, but I've been doing this a la carte for years. This is probably more information than you want, but to fall asleep I've been listening to every world series game played since 1980 for the past several years on youtube on a speaker tucked under my pillow. As you might have guessed from the last sentence, I started with 1980 and have listened to every game available on youtube. I'm currently on game 2 of the 2008 world series. It's a great way to keep the baseball flame lit until April.

That's outstanding, WN. I used to and occasionally still do that for late West Coast games or playoff games that run long.

Listened to MANY Cubs & Sox games on WGN and WMAQ Radio back in my yoot.

Good read, fun book. 1986 man, just fun playoffs. That’s what happens when teams that have to win 95+ games for the most part are the only teams who are in the playoffs.
