Remember those halcyon SABRmetric days when li'l danny bernstein publicly wondered if The Great Adam Dunn was a Hall of Famer? Remember those times when he preened and sneered and denigrated any caller who suggested that Juan Pierre, although differently skilled, was as good as or perhaps even better than The Great Adam Dunn? "He. Makes. Too. Many. Outs." But the careers are in the books, gentlemen. Each man had an almost identical number of big league plate appearances which led to an exactly identical WAR of 16.9. And we all know that WAR is mr. bernstein's unassailable G_d. Perhaps Juan Pierre is a Hall of Famer too.

You've said all along that WAR is totally ridiculous and now I finally believe you.

And iirc Pierre is the only one of the two that played a solid role on a WS winning team.

Since only championships matter
