There is a podcast called Dead Ball; they profile players who met unfortunate ends (Moore, Munson, Hubbs, etc). Check that out and the Eephus podcast also.

I know a lot of baseball history but never heard of Willard until the Dead Ball podcast. Real tragic story that led up to his suicide.
