Yeah, he's one. But there were a bunch of dead-ball guys who shot themselves. Some went nuts and killed their families Very sad and depressing,

During the season, though, no idea. I think Donnie Moore was years later.

There is a podcast called Dead Ball; they profile players who met unfortunate ends (Moore, Munson, Hubbs, etc). Check that out and the Eephus podcast also.

I know a lot of baseball history but never heard of Willard until the Dead Ball podcast. Real tragic story that led up to his suicide.
