Gonna end up being terrible contract extension for the Dodgers. Should have let him walk.

No doubt.. I thought it at the time, his back was going out on him too often to take that risk.

Yeah, this has end of the road Roy Halladay written all over it. Sucks. Arguably the greatest pitcher of his era.

I wonder if bringing Kershaw from the bullpen with a 4 run lead against Milwaukee had anything to do with this and then his shit World Series. Most probably not but the top of my head came off when Roberts brought in an often injured starting pitcher in relief for absolutely no reason.

I'd take Verlander and Scherzer over him, they don't shit the bed when the playoffs start.

What about a shoulder injury makes you think he would die in a plane crash?

Both are worthy candidates. Felix and Greinke also deserve to be mentioned. I'd take Kershaw's 2.39 career era, which is exactly one run lower than Verlander's. Scherzer has 10 less WAR.

Because they both had killer sideburns.

Verlander been doing it in the AL, not in the NL in the best pitchers parks in baseball ( NL west) Kershaw is like a Payton Manning when October rolls around.
