I know there is some talk of juiced balls again but after watching a few games I think the balls are fine but the players might be juice a bit. The 1st baseman on the brewers looks off. Thames looks like a player from years past. The forearms on some of these guys just doesn’t look right. I think these guys are getting ahead of the testers.

ESPN showed an interesting stat in tonight’s Yankee-Astros game. The 10 pitching staffs with the most strikeouts in history have all been in the last two years, by five teams:

2018 and 2017 Astros
2018 and 2017 Yankees
2018 and 2017 Red Sox
2018 and 2017 Dodgers
2018 and 2017 Indians

Also, not only did the Astros lead MLB last year, but their respective minor league teams led AAA, AA, High A and Low A.

Looks to be a formula for success. The Cubs used to lead teams in Ks, but lately they’ve gone with guys who don’t miss a lot of bats.

Seems like an unusually amount of homers this early in the season.

Enjoying watching some Reds baseball on MLB-TV.

Listening to Thom Brennamen is a treat.

A very underrated, true professional.

Ten HR has to be a record, no? I remember Shawn Green and Mark Whitten going off for four, but ten is insane.

watching some good Mariners baseball right now.

Vogelbach with a game-tying 3-run HR in the 8th.

I think it would be nice to live in the Pacific Northwest and watch baseball.

Who would've guessed the Twins would have the best record in baseball at this point?

This is why the NFL and MLB is better then the NBA. Wake me up when the Warriors are not in the Finals. At least LeFlop will not be in it this year.

Morales has been a bust for them and they are afraid of losing Judge/Stanton again.

what a game.

Boston at Minny, 3-3 in the 17th inning.

Traded homers in the 13th.

2 great teams battling.

Reds sweep the Astros.

Just saw today's game replay. 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th last AB to win the game.

Reds are fun to watch. Hot team vs Mil next.

Very nice ovation for Pujols coming back to St Louis for the first time since he signed with the Angels.

But my god the Cardinals fans act like they are the only fan base to recognize former players. Best fans in baseball....fuck the Cardinals. I hope Pujols hits 4 HRs tonight

How is it that Mike Minor has the best pitching WAR in baseball, by a mile? His WHIP is an unimpressive 1.15 (Verlander's is 0.74), and his strikeout and walk rates are way worse than Verlander's. Their FIP's are almost identical (Verlander prevents more walks and causes more Ks, but has allowed more HR), yet Minor's WAR is almost 50% better. And Verlander pitches in a more hitter-friendly park. What gives?
