There were MANY who walked onto a 5' diameter tree limb and predicted/assumed Sale would blow out his elbow while he was on the Sox.

They are optimistic the UCL isn't torn.

But reality is the MRI is inconclusive because of the amount of inflammation, which means it's more than likely it's gonna go as soon as he dials it up again.

They said Tanaka's career was extended because of the fancypants platelet treatment that Sale has also chosen to do. But short term, it's mostly to get inflammation down as soon as possible so they can get a clear picture. He may very well go under the knife in 6 weeks.
