Mid-90's, watching some college football game being announced by Brent Musburger. They cut away to a quick highlight/update package, including a Big East game btw the U and Temple. In the update Miami scored on a flea-flicker from mid-field to go up by however many TD's. Cut back to Musburger's game and Brent's incredulous: "A flea-flicker against Temple?? Who calls a flea-flicker play to score against Temple?!"

I agree if they happen to pick up signs because the catcher doesn't hide them well enough or there's a guy on 2nd, but using a camera to get signs and then signal them to the hitter is a bit different.

Like how the Astros excuse to MLB when confronted with the evidence of using cameras to steal signs was the sandbox classic: we only started using cameras to steal signs cuz other teams did it to us first.

The "great" Bruce Levine claims all teams do it....nothing new here. It's a rare thing, but I do think Bruce is correct.

I remember back in 89 the Giants saying something about they had a book on Maddux’s pitching patterns , maybe prior to the playoffs that year for the Cubs? And if I remember correctly Maddux got beat around pretty good that series. Maybe they did have one maybe they didn’t but it certainly seems to be a good way to get in someone’s head to say that you do
