I gotta say, for 5 months there was zilch about the Yankees that made me think there was anything there. Then they got hot and I figured I was wrong. I should have stood my ground. Their lineup sucked and Rizzo and Gallo really haven't helped.

Dodgers making all those trades to become a super team are going to get bounced in the WC game by the Cards.

MLB has to be creaming its jeans at the prospect of Yanks/Red Sox and Dodgers/Cards in win or go home games.

The 1-4 markets will all be represented in these playoffs, with huge regional draws in Boston and St. Louis. If ratings are bad, there is no saving baseball as a national sport.

On Friday, Ryan Spilbourghs of MLB Network Radio was insisting that Cole wasn't ready to start a WC game and that they should hold him until Game 1. Everybody around him told him he was crazy, but he insisted that Cole wasn't pitching well enough after the hamstring tweak to deserve the start.

I did want them to win because I'm rooting for a Rays-White Sox ALCS and the Rays beat the living shit out of them in the regular season.

But it's nice seeing them lose like this. And if they come back, they are still fucked and the Red Sox nation will lose their shit.
