MLB Network is cruel. Usually they have an older player from the franchise of the winner of the award announce the award.

So they had Jack McDowell today and I thought for sure it's Lynn. But it wasn't.

I'm more of a "most valuable player in the league" vs "most valuable player for his team" type of guy, but it is strange that not one of the six finalists made the playoffs.
