Also, nothing to do with MLB or the labor agreement. Canada won't let unvaccinated people in, so players with no shots can't travel to Toronto. White Sox @ Blue Jays 5/31 - 6/2.

And MLB and MLBPA agreed that players who aren't allowed into Canada lose pay and service time for those games.

No doubt, that is fucking nuts.

Spiegel mentioned that Justin Verlander passed the 3,000 innings milestone last night, and there is only one other active pitcher over 3,000 (Greinke). That got me thinking how many active pitchers are even over 2,000. It's a pretty short list:

Greinke 3121
Verlander 3001
Scherzer 2547
Kershaw 2461
Wainwright 2386
Price 2105
Bumgarner 2042
Cueto 2034

Contrast that with other relatively modern era pitchers:

Ryan 5386
Sutton 5282
Carlton 5217
Maddux 5008
Clemens 4916
Seaver 4783

Pretty soon it will be considered good for pitchers to reach 1,000.

spiegel putting stock into jon heyman's passing comment that the cubs will "spend money" next off-season. brandon nimmo and spending money are mutually exclusive...only so much quality nimmo possesses. spiegel really stepping out suggesting that j-hey will be DFAed after this season. correa purposely signed a 1-yr deal..the twins have been good, correa has been just ok, he may want to stay in MSP. they have built a fairly good pitching staff.
