It would be exciting if the strike zone was consistent. I remember there was a graphic on one of the broadcasts that showed how bad the umps were. Or maybe a new rule like you after 5 foul balls you're out. It's obvious they are juicing the balls, so I would like to see the ball get unjuiced too. They built the Field of Dreams field and it was kind of obvious the ball was juiced and the dimensions were a little too small for real baseball players not to hit home runs. Stolen bases are way more exciting than 15 pitch at-bats.

Detroit radio also overly excited about possibly signing Allen Robinson. Isn't Robinson from Detroit? Usually not the best idea for these guys to play in their hometown until they are near the end of their career. Robinson should go down to Cincy and catch passes from Burrow vs Detroit and Goff.

Yeah, I agree Jason Goff is really past his prime.

The deal is done. :D :alien:

BREAKING: Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have reached a tentative agreement on a new labor deal, sources tell ESPN. While it still needs to be ratified by both parties, that is expected to be a formality.

And how the players will be crying in a couple years how the greedy owners took advantage of them and what a shitty deal it is for them.

That kind of makes sense to me when the executive committee is heavy on guys worth 9 figures.

Also, 5 of the 8 Executive members were Scott Boras clients.

Nah...no one wants to watch pitchers hit or DH's line out to the shift.

Not just that but limiting optioning players. They are going to have to expand roster slots. Increasing min salary and all the other money shit just means more expensive seats and concessions.

MLB Network Radio is reporting that the players Executive committee voted 8-0 against the deal, and the players (who vote by team) overruled them 26-4. Looks like the pre-arbitration players said enough is enough.

Owners have to formally vote early this evening. Free agency probably starts about 8pm, and the first spring training game is in a week. The amount of money to be thrown around in the next 72 hours is going to be crazy.
