Look Bob, when you’re in peak athletic condition like Eloy, getting a cramp in the blistering Arizona heat is to be expected.

Parkins had Benetti on today and Jason joined the list of people who say WBC injury risk is no big deal. He said he had just played one-on-one with Bill Walton (as part of some promotion) and hurt his knee, so shit happens. Well, yeah, but your actual job -- the one someone is paying you handsomely to do -- is not affected by that!

Injuries can and do happen in spring training. Therefore, it's not like there wouldn't be anyone getting hurt if the WBC didn't exist. Also, the games are highly entertaining. We're not likely to see a game with similar energy until the stretch run or the playoffs (assuming one of our teams makes it there). From the fan perspective, I love it.

MLB didn't start the WBC to lose money. The scope it reaches is worldwide but each championship so far from '06 is only from 3 parts of the world. It's glorified spring training baseball.

True enough but ill go out on a limb saying spring training injuries rarely if ever happen from the player “ celebrating “ after striking someone out and I highly doubt Jason Benetti and everyone else bleating that this is different and no big deal and justifying it would certainly be singing a different tune if it were say , Trevor Bauer blowing out his knee doing his Conor McGregor strut walking off the mound after striking out < insert Latino player here >

That celebration was so low impact that I'm guessing there was something wrong with that knee to begin with and, if it wasn't the celebration, it would have been something else. If I'm wrong about that, it was such a freak way for someone to hurt themselves, you could probably do it 1,000 times and not replicate the injury.

The foot right above home plate? No chance to get out of the way with a missile coming in.

The looping arms, vertical bat, leg kicks…all of it.

Ryan Dempster got hurt jumping out of the Cubs dugout.

Congrats on writing the longest yet most pointless sentence ever posted on the board. Well done, rogue.

And Rowdy Tellez is Mexican? I figured that first name qualified him as a potential NASCAR driver….

Randy Arozarena in a Mexican uniform caught me off guard as well.
