I liked him as a player. Watched him as a kid on many of the early Cub games when he was a Dodger. Not sure what I think about some of his techniques as a manager. I think some of the best of them we know nothing about because they were in a locker room or clubhouse office dealing with players. Only thing that I didn't really like was using his kid as a shield in pressers.

Not a HOF manager. Managed well over 20 years had many talented playoff teams only one ring.

He's one of the most overrated and overloved managers ever.

Took an already assembled team full of cheaters to get his ring. Couldn't win with Barry Bonds. Almost single handedly destroyed the Cubs chances in 2003.
