I don't have a huge rooting interest in a particular team. I do, however, hope the Yankees lose. It doesn't look as if that's gonna happen; at least in the first round.

For some odd reason (odd because I'm a Cub fan) I'm rooting for the Cardinals. It's not looking good so far, as Carpenter left a few pitches right in the middle of the plate for the Dodgers to take a 2-1 lead.

Yeah...every time I see that curve of his, I think of the last out of the 2006 NLCS...Beltran was nothing more than an observer for that at bat...

I gotta wonder what LaRussa is trying to do...first he shows Lohse in the pen, and then Smoltz...the announcers said he is considering Carpenter on short rest for Game 4...he's never pitched on short rest...dumb...

Yeah, Duncan certainly would know better than me...however, the thought of pushing a guy to pitch on short rest for the first time in his career, after he is finally getting healthy, doesn't sit well with me...

A sub 2 ERA does not equal bad...having a fluke year doesn't equal bad...and being garbage as a starter doesn't equal bad...

Regardless of what he does next year, to say he has sucked this season is dumb.

It's hard to beat those two 3 times. Piniero should throw a good game 3. It will be interesting to see who they throw game 4.
