I'm happy for Joe Girardi. He got a raw deal when he filled out the lineup card in Miami with the Florida Marlins and knew what he was getting into when he succeeded Joe Torre in the Bronx. I think he did an outstanding job keeping all those high-priced veterans & free agent signings in check. The Yankees were clearly the best team, and it seemed hard to believe this was the team's first World Series title since 2000.
