Have fun with that shitbag!

$20 says Dave Duncan turns him into a 15 game winner.

I wasn't serious in the bet offer, but Dave Duncan does have a way of making someone else's shit smell like potpourri.

Larry RothSchild could do that with steriods too.

Cubs signed Chad Tracy to a minor league deal. His versatility at 1b/3b probably gives him a solid chance to make the roster. He has 8 homers and 39 RBI in each of the last two season - weird. Had back to back 20 homer seasons in 2005 and 2006 - hmmmm.

He will probably make the 25 man out of spring training.

What does this mean for Micah Hoffpauir? The outfield is getting pretty full and now he will have to split backup time with Tracy.

The 1B spot at Peoria is just waiting for him now that Jake Fox is an A

That's what I was thinking too. Hoff can't really play infield anyway. He can't play outfield either. He's Jack Cust in the wrong league and without the power numbers.

Maybe he should HGH/Roid up like Cust. Any career minor leaguer probably should.

I have a feeling it did wonders for Tracy back in 2005/06 too.

Yeah. With Cust and Hoff-Power and other 29 year old AAAA type guys, I understand the roid use more than most cases. Its the difference between upper middle class and rich for some

If my baseball career had gone any past college, I can honestly say that I would have done whatever I needed to in order to get to the majors. Like you said, it's the difference between winning a 25 dollar scratchoff and winning the mega million lottery.

The Twins signed Orlando Hudson to a one-year $5M deal.

Hudson is an upgrade ove Nick Punto offensively but his defense is rapidly on the decline and Punto is a fantastic defensive player. For whatever reason there are a lot of people out there who are not fans of Orlando Hudson. This is another move I don't think the Twins make if they were still playing in the Baggy-Dome.

Also an upgrade over Alexi Casillas, who I believed split time between the Twins and their Triple "A" farm team and couldn't hit a lick himself at second base.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the Twins have put together a championship competitve lineup. Their starting pitching might not be good though.

If they're still in that glorified pool room, Good Dolphin, maybe...They're playing this season at Target Field, which could be as easy to hit a homer as U.S. Cellular Field...

So you dont think the Twins can take advantage? Mourneau? Mauer?

Mauer, Morneau, Kubel, and Thome are left handed power hitters. The park is said to favor left handed power hitters.

I've heard the new Target Field has a very short porch in right field for those guys to get possibly even cheaper homers than at "The Cell" or at the new Yankee Stadium.

Their lineup will be very good but they lost a lot of team speed and defense. They have a new shortstop, second baseman, centerfielder (up the middle), third baseman and none are upgrades (defensively) over what they had last season. They lost Carlos Gomez (maybe fastest player in baseball) and Alexi Casilla and Nick Punto (11 and 16 SB's) will have reduced roles. I'm very interested to see how this new Twins team transitions to an outdoor team.
