Now, when will you admit that you need to have someone read the board to you and type for you to compensate for that Purdue education?

Right, and just how long were these "off" periods?

That is false. I majored in "Computer Operator" at Purdue and I can handle it myself thank you very much.

I don't think McGwire will see his 50th birthday. He was using roids and HGH in the quanities that a lot of dead wrestlers were.

I'm sure LaRussa said come clean in January so we don't hear THAT question all year!

I feel really bad for Sammy Sosa in all of this. McGwire stole the spotlight that would have been rightfully his by hitting all those home runs with the aid of steroids.

While my original post was clearly sarcastic, it did actually get me thinking.

We have evidence that Barry Bonds used PED's. The Grand Jury testimony is evidence.
McGwire has now admitted to using them.

Both of them can now rightfully have an * next to their names, as could A-Rod.

Therefore, doesn't this mean that Sammy is the non-asterisk home run champion?

We all know that Sammy was right there with them but is there anything actually on him?

In near future news, someone will reference the Linbergh baby, and someone will reply to ask "who the fuck is that?"

His name came out in the New York Post as one of the names on the list of 101 players who failed the initial drug screening way back when. That same list that trickles a couple of names out every year.

The Big Red genius comes clean! Wow now I can sleep at night knowing that a healthy protein shake by it self will not help you hit home runs to the moon! Tony Larussa should go back to drinking himself into a drunken driving stupor, that way he can say with a straight face, Hey I was fucking shit faced how could I see what was happening right under my nose! Sammy Sosa is now going to admit that his flint-stone vitamins were in the shape of a needle.

He got really drunk one night and accidentally rooted for Georgetown for half a period before someone told him Purdue was off that day.

He's not going to be a good hitting coach.

It depends on what suitcase and phone book he brings with him.

McGwire was interviewed by Bob Costas on MLB Network. God is McGwire a fucking idiot. Cry me a river. He should've held the interview in the bank where all of the money he made as a player is. It would've been a short interview, though.

Watched the interview with Costas, and Mac sure loves kissing Albert's ass. I think him and Albert should of done a press conference together to admit to steriod use. Also, gotta love Tony releasing a statement saying this is the first time he knew of Mac using, what a jag.

Didn't listen to the radio most of the day, but when I did LoHo had a good point. Albert better take great pains to never, ever be photographed next to his new hitting "coach".

Following what A7X posted above, after watching the replay of the Costas interview, I too really have to wonder about McGwire's long term health. He looked bad.

I heard Laurence Holmes, Les Grobstein, "Mully & Hanley" and other sports talk radio shows play excerpts of the Mark McGwire interview w/MLB Network. He can cry all he wants to, but he can forget about Cooperstown as far as I'm concerned. As for Tony LaRussa & that poor excuse for a "Commissioner", Allan H. Selig, don't get me started on these two! :x
