Joe Nathan has been diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament.

Nathan will wait two weeks for some of the swelling in his elbow to subside, then he will try to throw a baseball. If it does not go well, the Twins closer will have to decide whether to undergo Tommy John surgery.

I hope he doesn't need surgery but it doesn't look good. You hate to see this happen to a great pitcher and a better person.

Tough break for the Twins. Not sure they have anyone to replace him.

I don't know how you avoid TJ surgery if you have a torn ulnar collateral ligament.

Tough break for a good guy.

I think the Twins are dead without him. They have average starters and now a below average bullpen.
