We all know about the missed call in the Cubs game today, but there was another one just now in the Mariners/A's game. A's centerfielder came in and made a diving grab, but the ball clearly bounced a good foot in front of him. I was watching the Oakland feed, and even their announcers couldn't believe it was ruled a catch, and questioned the umps. I think the umps need to quit being lazy, and make more of an effort to get out there, and get a better view of the play.

Unfortunately, blown calls are part of the game in Major League Baseball. Instant replay wouldn't have reversed the catches that really weren't in the Cubs/Braves' game in Atlanta and the Mariners/A's in Oakland under MLB's limited policy.
