Either way, I like what the Astros have done. Complete rebuilds work with guys as smart as Theo and Luhnow in charge. I'll very passively root for them over the next several years. I do too, and I also like what they gave the Brewers for Gomez and Fiers.  Go Stros!!! |

Publicly he screwed over two kids in Aiken and Nix in last year's draft. I'm pretty sure there was a little ruckus with preferential treatment given to Appel. I think he comes from Daryl Morey school of being a douche. Players are a simply an employee number to be flipped and dumped however his computer directs him to do. |

There was also something last offseason where Ryan Vogelsong was going to sign with the Astros and on his visit he GTFO and wanted no part with the franchise. |

This is going to be a good team to pillage when they start selling off pieces soon. Neshek and Gregerson are useful bullpen arms and Gattis could be a good DH. The guy the Sox should target is Jason Castro. They've long been a fan of his and he's a free agent after the season so it shouldn't take too much to acquire him. They can shit can Avila and go with Castro/ Navaro then hopefully resign him in the off season and go with Castro/Smith for the next few years. |
