You're right. We've just decided that perfect is more dominant than what Wood did. It just doesn't pass the eye test. Similar to LeBron being better than Jordan because of some stats.

Ive been dragged back into this thing. Fuck you Peeps!!

No one will ever top Steve Trout's back to back shutouts.

Because the objective of a pitcher going into a game is to allow the least amount of base runners possible. It's not to strike out as many batters as possible.

Some believe that the only way to truly control that is to strikeout batters.

Everything else there is some amount of chance involved.

Does LeBron have 6 titles and 6 Finals MVPs?

There's no need for language like that!

The Jordan comparison is silly. Too many intangibles and statistically LeBron hasn't even been better than Jordan overall. Their advanced stats are remarkably similar. It's not even close to as cut and dry as 2 base runners vs zero.

At the same age they both have 1 title in 1 MVP. That is why I said some 13 year old kid would argue that based on stats. In all honesty I've seen some adults argue it but I just assume they've been hit in the head too much over the years.

The point is you can't just look at a couple of numbers on a paper and claim you are being objective. Numbers lie.

Bryce Harper sucks.

He's nowhere near Pete Rose's hits record, or Bonds' HR record. That dude will never be a HOF'er.

People lie more often.

I always look forward to this discussion every year about Wood's game.

If Wood pitched that game in a Sox uniform Frank's entire argument would flip to the other side.

That is the only reason he argues so hard on this one.

As a fan of both teams I think it is pretty cool we have got to witness 2 such great games.

They received a 0.0 Nielsen rating for a recent game.

Woo hoo! That means the Sox are no worse than 29th!

Buehrle was better.

Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Astros will promote top prospect George Springer from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Wednesday's game.

I'm sure those two weeks in the minors will make all the difference if he makes it or not. Well better late than I guess.

My cousin drafted him. I sent a text asking what it would take to trade for him but haven't heard back.

The Astros have signed 1B prospect Jonathan Singleton to a 5 year/$10M contract with three club options.

The contract is the first for a player with zero major league service time. The deal could be worth up to $35M if all the options are exercised. Singleton will be called up before Tuesday nights game.

The Astros called up RHP Mike Foltynewicz (Minooka HS).

The shitheads finally did something right.

Bo Porter fired. Luhnow and him butted heads and management always wins.

Porter was a Luhnow hire.

When times have been shitty during this rebuild the Astros have provided much needed relief as they've proved it could be worse.
