Dale Sveum, fired as Cubs manager on Monday, will be a part of the Royals' staff next year, the team announced.

The last piece to the puzzle is in place.

Not surprising at all, he and Yost were close.

Just like the Sox last week??? :( Maybe the Sox were 2 or 3 games back then.

They already have Butler as Hosmer. No room for Howard.

billy butler is playing his way out of the everyday-DH/backup-1B gig. he's sitting at something like .270/2/25 or something right now, and it was ages between that first and second HR. billy was never that much of a big bopper, as he's had one ~25-30HR season otherwise you could pencil him in for something like ~15-20, and ideally i think you want your DH solidly into the 20HR range if not threatening to go above 30 every year because the DH is your chance to stash an awful defensive player and get a bunch of offense back.... and if you're getting .262/1/23 on june 10th or whatever, yeah, that's a problem for america. even rajai davis has outslugged that by a relatvely wide margin.

speedy CF prospect Amalani Fukofuka just got promoted to Burlington.

It's probably juvenile, I would love to hear all the stadium announcers when they attempt to pronounce this guys name

I think they are going to catch the Tigers, Detroit is in a tailspin...they haven't really looked good all season n they have the worst pen in the A.L.

I hope you're right but I feel like it might be like a basketball game where the team used all their energy coming back from down and now that their virtually tied, Det will pull away

4 HUGE games with the best team in baseball coming up

And they finish with 4 against the Sox

Good, fuck Detroit.

Sox last 7 games are against Detroit and KC. One way or another, they will have an effect on who wins the Central.

That is, if they don't win it themselves!! :( 8) :?

Royals are a little weak in the starting pitching but are lock down if they have a lead after six.

On May 29th the Kansas City Royals were in 4th place in the AL Central. Today KC is 4.5 games behind the best record in baseball.

I don't think they will make much noise in the playoffs but I'd sure love to see them there

Brewers vs. Royals World Series, the network executives would love it.

This was a magical season for them. I'd probably place them as the group most likely not to repeat out of anyone in these playoffs.

Having lights out relief work is fantastic. It's also short lived.

They can still be hated without being involved in brawls.
