man collins eating some shit here.... you leave syndergaard in for the 8th and you pull him for a PH here instead of the ultra rare closer vs closer matchup, where of course familia got pwnd. you basically guaranteed 0% chance of an insurance run to keep your closer in for 6 out save, which you did because basically you decided to take syndergaard out to have him ready for game 2 methinks.... time to see if it works. |

That was a great game and a great series. Can't say I'm all that upset the Dodgers lost. Over/under on how much money they spend this off season. $500M and I'm taking the over. |

this mets team has all of the !!!!! young pitching to match the cubs !!!! young pitching, and thy're not in the playoffs by default every year like the dodgers, so this season has !!!!!coming of age!!!! like the cubs do. like i was saying in april/may, this cubs/mets thing could be like 5 NLCS matchups in the next 10-15yrs. this is gonna be one hell of a series, and to the cubs fans wishing for the mets like they dodged the dodgers.... be careful what you wish for. i'd have much rather had the dodgers cuz i mean, dude, the mets pitching is the best rotation in baseball.... the only thing you've got on your side (aside from regular season success) is that thes pitchers are all young and in uncharted territory in terms of the # of IPs they've got. i thought the mets would shut down syndergaard and matz in sept and my fantasy championship would be in jeopardy.... but hey i guess not everyone is as forward thinking as the natinals, eh? =D |

I know Estrada starts the first game, but is Gibbons going to let Price pitch in this series? |

Olney tweeted Jack Clark's HR "trot" against the Dodgers last night. He basically walked around the bases. The entire team met him at the plate too. It wasn't a walk off, but simply a Classy organization celebrating The Right Way. |

If ever there was proof that managers don't matter in game, it's the Royals under Ned Yost. |

Hirschbeck throws Tulo out of a blowout game. Between innings. From 100 feet away. And now he's doing everything he can to goad Martin into getting tossed also. |

Yesterday was a prime example of why managers do matter at times. Cueto was left in probably 3 or 4 batters too long. Of course hindsight is always going to be 20-20, but it was clear he did not have "it" well before he gave up the bomb to Tulo. |
