Are the games on the same channel? They are going to show the OT not LAK vs VGK?

They'll probably start the late game on the NHL Network and then pick it up on NBCSN.

I might catch hell for this but the Knights entertain me. I like Columbus more than I thought too.

I see Washington in the playoffs every year and they have body language like it's game 43 of the regular season. No intensity or urgency. Same w/ this year.

There is nothing about a first year expansion team being this good. I mean i want them to beat the piss out of the Kings but its embarrasing for the league that they are in this position.

they're really not a traditional expansion team. I like it because them being good is like a big middle finger to all the smug hockey experts.

Didnt the Blues make it to the Finals their first year into existence.

I'd call it veteren gamesmanship. He goaded him into the penalty and yelled 'THAT A BOY' afterwards.

The way Vegas built their roster is shady. They should have a team that is deep in young stars....not one that has a bunch of vets that other teams needed to bounce for cap reasons.

The Blues made it to the Final their first three years because the established teams and expansion teams were in separate divisions. That's where the term "Original Six" is from, it was to differentiate them from the Expansion Six, not that they were the six teams that founded the league.

Who the Hawks give up? I thought it would have been Keith or Seabrook.

It was equal parts cap crunch from the Canadian economy's downturn and hockey general managers being idiots as usual. The Panthers exposed Jonathan Marchessault, traded Reilly Smith to Vegas as a cap dump in exchange for exposing Marchessault, and then baffingly protected defenseman Mark Pysyk. The Predators exposed James Neal but protected Calle Jarnkrok. The Flyers protected worthless slug Radko Gudas.

Then you have the NHL giving them the most favorable expansion terms in history because the league has had a raging boner for penetrating Las Vegas since at least the 2004-05 lockout if not before that, and on top of that you have the rich dumb shitheads who play professional hockey treating road games there like vacations/benders.

it's amazing how Vegas is now the place for all the leagues to put a franchise. for half a century leagues avoided it because they thought the players would be addicted to gambling and throw games. Still could happen.

I can't figure out the Marchessault thing. Maybe they though Neal was a penis, I do. I don't know who Gudas is.

How do you keep up with all this? I know our team ( sort of now  ). I know the stars or those having a good season but I can't keep up with the rest of it. My son does, but that's because he has nothing else to do.

Little more complicated than that: we traded Kruger to Vegas in exchange for their agreement to claim Trevor van Riemsdyk in the expansion draft, which they did. It was listed as "future considerations" for bookkeeping's sake but it was actually "prior considerations" because it was well after the expansion draft. Then both players were traded to Carolina in separate transactions: Kruger for a 2018 5th, and TVR for a 2017 2nd. Carolina wound up with two roster players, Vegas wound up with draft picks, the Hawks wound up with their dick in their hands.

And because the world is a stupid place, 7th defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk fetched an immediate second-round pick, but shutdown center extraordinaire Kruger got a deferred fifth and then got buried in the AHL for being worthless in Carolina's chucky-puck system. We should have just kept the damn guy.

At the expense of having any earthly idea of what's going on in the NFL or NBA.

Imagine if Anton Chigurh got brained by his own captive bolt and subsequently pursued a career in hockey. The Flyers gave him fourteen million dollars anyway.

 Flyers are going to lose.

I'm still kinda right but fuzzy on details about the givings up. I'd love to watch hockey with you.

I haven't connected with basketball since my grandpa died and I'm too short and had no interest in improving. I lost my love for football. 2010 Bears, game changing, different players, and my son's games did me in. I can't keep up with the NHL though. Too much.
