Fleury did get pulled in the SCF that year, game 5 for mathieu garon. But then despite Pens being down 2-3 they came back with Fleury in net and won the next 2. Probably as much on the strength of their defense being able to take advantage of early, 2 goal Penguin leads in those games and collapse on the Wings and shut down their offense in front of Fleury. Not unlike what the Blackhawk teams did the season(s) immediately after.

Man, when this team wants to shut the door, they slam it shut. They've held the lead through the third 51 out of 53 times now. Vegas couldn't get anything going; their biggest victory in the frame was not giving up the ENG.

Good win, but all the Jets really did was what was expected of them. Not a series till the road team wins!
