Officially starts next week or something like that, but the warm up games start today with Canada vs USA. Definitely gonna check that out tonight, chance to see Kane and Toews on the ice.

Looking forward to the tournament quite a bit, can't wait to see the young guns team. Wonder if the coach will ever put McDavid, Eichel and Matthews on the same line?

Kruger and Hossa are both injured from this. Nice little shitshow we have here!

Ben Bishop gets caught way out of the net, Ryan McDonagh lays out across the crease to deny Thornton the easy equalizer. Still 3-2 Team America. 10 mins to go in 3rd

John Buccigross and Kevin Weekes doing their bob uecker-lite routine for the friendly.

"my groin would have exploded"
"You can hear it in your living room.. or basement."

Steve Levy and Barry Melrose call all the Team USA games after tonight. and the final four, whether or not
Team USA makes it that far.

Jonathan Toews, enforcer:

Kesler boards Weber, Weber goes down hard.

Toews skates over to challenge Kesler, Kesler immediately gets Toews in a headlock.

Weber has to scrape himself up off the ice and rush over to keep Kesler from messing up Toews.

Vlasic: "hey guys, check it out, johnny's getting into a fight"

Team USA holds on to win, 4-2. Getting an empty netter from Derek Stepan to seal the W.

Team Canada out-shoots Team USA 43-25 in the game. 10 to 2 in the 3rd period.

Quick stopped 32 of 33 over the first 2 periods.
Bishop stopped 9 of 10 in the 3rd.

Price played the entire game for Team Canada, stopping 21 of 24.

Leave it to fucking Ryan Kesler to get tossed from a pre-tournament game of a preseason tournament. This knob will never win a thing.

Bet this cocksucker was the kind of kid who'd play freeze tag and tag you like a drunken stepdad smacking his kid.

How many exhibition games can there be? It's September! Even the real thing is just exhibition games! They ran out of countries to field teams and came up with like the Warsaw Pact Mixtape or something.

3-1 Kanaydia after 1.

Team America-not-necessarily-North will start the 2nd with a 5 on 3.

Well, here's something you don't see every day: Canadians who are volunteering to play in Ottawa.

Team North American Scum = under 23; Team Warsaw Pact Mix Tape isn't, unless Hossa has a fake ID:

I think Team North America will end up winning the whole damn thing, which would actually be good for the league. Tons of young talent and budding superstars there.

Stupid Question - is Team North America like a "B" team or something. I'm just curious

Team NA = under 23 year old players from North America, so USA, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Turks and Caicos, Cuba et al

Achilles tendon injury and then calf injury and now knee. Seguin's bucket-listing his way up his body with injuries.

Considering he left his employer high and dry in the playoffs, maybe Seguin should've waited and made his return during the NHL season--after a normal pre-season workout and training regimen. Dude prolly just walked out of the bar, laced em up and skated without any effort at easing into things--and away from the Stars training and medical staff.

It's basically a team led by McJesus

Considering his injury appeared to be from crashing into the boards, I don't think we can blame this one on a lack of conditioning.
