Post subject:  New uniforms

With Reebok forcing the new tighter, form-fitting sweaters on the league, many teams have come out with new uniforms, many with disastrous results. I know a guy that wears an Anthrax tshirt with a thrift store blazer should be the last guy to comment on anything fashion related, but I knows what I likes.

Here's a list of the new ones that have been released so far.

Here's a couple of the worst:

Vancouver Canucks (yes, they're serious with this)

I like the color scheme, but there's just too much. Looks even worse with the captain's C on the left.

Nashville Predators

A slight improvement over the originals, but it looks like a tshirt. What's with the white paneling on the sleeves?

The best remakes have kept it simple.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Washington Capitals

You just couldn't stand the fact that the soccer section had a post & hockey didn't could you stink?

Pretty damn much, yeah. I'm an oldest child, I can't stand the attention being focused elsewhere.

Is having "Vancouver" on the front really necessary? I like the Predators logo though. At least the Capitals are going back to the older days, but for some reason that picture reminds me of a soccer shirt.

That was my exact thought with the Canucks' sweater, Darren. In all honesty, if they would have just gone back to their original stick-and-rink crest on that jersey template it would have gotten rave reviews.

Or they could have just stuck with the old style jerseys and not had to go through all this BS

I must say, and maybe I'm feeling a little bit of nostalgia already, but I liked the Columbus one.

Like the youngest child though, it'll pass, and the soccer section will be just as vacant...but I shall keep it alive by talking to myself, as I have in the past.

I'm gonna be watching more hockey this year, so I'll try to keep you company.

I like the Vacouver one. The Preds one is nice with the exception of the two-tone arms.

The Columbus one is ugly. I like the design of the Capitals one, but that color hurts my retinas.

The Islanders one is hot.
