Minnesota just locked up Jonas Brodin through his age 27 season at 25 over 6. Having played a full season at 19, that buys out two years of unrestricted free agency. That's a hell of a bargain for a very good first-pairing puck-mover. They'll be an obstacle for years to come.

Seventh straight win for the Blues tonight despite no Backes nor Oshie. Minnesota and Dallas are both struggling, the Jets are doing way better than they have any right to be doing.

Have you seen a clip of what Buff did tonight? I haven't yet....sounds like some sit down time may be coming?

I picked up the game while he was in the box for a two and ten. He's still in the game, though. I'll rewind it after the game ends.

Over 100 PIMs between the two teams in this one. It takes watching other games around the NHL for me to realize how disciplined the Blackhawks really are.

Saw a gif of the late hit. That was Dale Hunter Lite. He might sit.

Maybe Downie was kind of selling it. Maybe the refs just let Buff off easy because no one likes Downie.

Downie is the king of douches, but if you take out who is involved and just look at the actions........

Buff has to sit for a game or two on that one. That was pretty cheap and a serious injury could have happened. Can't mess around near the boards, especially when the play is over.

I'm no hockey gay, or a regular gay for that matter, but how is Carcillo on his ninth suspension, yet it's only six games? Obviously these ticky tack games off here and there aren't doing the trick. At what point would a goon like this be banned for a year? He's Brandon Meriweather on skates.
