The amazing Caps offense could not score a goal against a back up goalie.

Going to fun to watch them crap their pants again.

Caps had a horrible game plan tonight. Overly physical and aggressive and more interested in fighting than playing.

I guess it's fitting that the team that always craps its pants in the playoffs is coached by a guy with the last name of Trotz.

Wow....the Wild have a nice 3-2 lead and now the Stars just fling shit at the net and get 2 pinball goals.

Wild tied it late! And the Sharks blew a 3-0 lead to the Kings! This is crazy.

Also, Islanders over Panthers in double overtime. luuuuuuuuuu

Stars lose in overtime. I knew Minnesota was gonna put it to them.

Sharks go up 5-3 late in the third, Kings staring down the barrel now. Gonna be madness if the Wild and Hawks can battle back from 3-1 deficits but the Kings can't.

44 saves for that "backup" goalie.

the Craps are perennial underachievers. they'll most likely win the series but they got muscled by a very feisty and overzealous flyers team.

Shots for Washington were 44 on goal, 19 missed, 19 blocked: four Flyers defensemen with three blocks apiece. Looks to me like the Caps were up against more than one goalie.

Kings are out.

Genuinely shocked by the Kings going down this quietly. I guess it's no different from what we're seeing at home; sometimes teams that are Built For The Playoffs and Just Flip The Switch are not and do not. But unlike the Hawks where you can point to the blue line falling off a cliff or the attrition of veteran players, I don't see the same clear structural failings in the Kings. They just lost. Losing Voynov and Williams couldn't have been that big, right?

Well, she does spend her whole day blocking people!

There's also something symbolic about the Flyers waiting until Ed Snyder's death to start shellin' like a felon and six-goalieing their way to a 1+EN-0 shutout. Under Ed's watchful eye, they'd have tried to match the Crapitals shot for shot and lost handily.

Dallas almost had an epic collapse. Four goals in the third period.

Stars somehow made it passed the Wild without having to use Seguin much.

He should be ready to go for the Blues series next round.

Bjugstad is out after a NASTY head-dasher collision. That's going to be a big, big setback. Hell of a two-way center along with Barkov.

Crazy goal with under a minute to tie for the Islanders...

Isles have completely dominated in OT for 18 minutes. Numerius A+ chances.

Forcing overtime at 59:06 is what I would expect from a player whose initials are JT. Hope the other one scores sooner than that tomorrow night.

Islanders bandwagon from here on out. Only tolerable team left in the tournament. Even Pittsburgh looks likable next to these shit teams.

I'll take Pittsburgh over Washington because as much as I like Ovechkin, I never want to see fuckin' Trotz, T.J. Oshie, or OHHH OHHH MATTY NISKANEN OHHH OHHH win anything. A Penguins-Islanders Eastern final would be delightful, two teams that have hated each other forever. Probably gonna get the NASCAR Division reunion between the Caps and Lightning, though.

Haha, oh brother, I noticed Isles fans all year moaning about diminished production from Tavares and fans of other teams (people especially seem to relish picking on the Islanders) crowing that he wasn't a true franchise player after all. Just looked it up: 33 goals and 70 points on the season. I'd take 120% of the production at 57% of the price, no questions asked.

Exactly why I kept him on my fantasy team.

Sadly I think the Isles are going to lose to TB.
