How come it's Saturday night and there's no hockey game? This turdburger season is really ambling to the finish line.

they need to sync up with the NBA so when all the people watching yet another boring 2016 NBA playoffs blowout start channel surfing, they'll find the Stanley Cup Finals and stop and watch for a bit.

They are allowing two days travel to combat Bernsie's circadian rhythm theory.

Man, I'm tellin' ya, start the NHL season on October 1st every year no matter what. When the calendar says 10/1 (or 1/10 in Canada), you know that's like your holiday: Hockey-Starting Day! Start the Stanley Cup as close to April 1st as the calendar allows, and get this wrapped up well before the goddamn 12th of June. This is a winter sport, come on.

Game Six. Sharks got this. Unless Pittsburgh plays Tim Tebow.

Crosby should've rec'd a game misconduct and been sent to the showers for that retaliatory slash off the
opening draw.

He suffers from being blessed and protected by the league. Except when he feels the need to slash a guy on the knee to start a game.

Many hockey fans think Sid is a whiny bitch and soft. He doesn't bother me.

Also, when Crosby came into the league, there was resentment because the NHL acted like he'd already won a Stanley Cup, the Hart Trophy and an Olympic Gold Medal--that Crosby has gone on to do all these things is impressive and has quieted his critics somewhat.

This game is great. Regardless of outcome very few events equal elimination games for the cup.

I'm not a Crosby hater like some people are, but what exactly did he do to deserve being the MVP of the playoffs over Kessel or Murray?

All people here in my circle were stunned it wasn't Murray.

I will say that Crosby played well-enough that the award is not unearned. Many times watching these games it looked like 5 on Crosby.

Reminds me a bit of the 2006 World Series, where David Eckstein took home the MVP trophy--even tho it was Albert Pujols in the hole behind Eckstein who forced the Detroit pitchers to give Eckstein pitches to hit.
